So you Wanna Play with Magic?

Books, I used to have them everywhere. Iris was a HUGE book fan. That girl read and read and read and read more. She would pick up a book and not put it down till it was done. Like 4 hours later. We stood in line the night that the last HP came out till it was released. She started reading it in the car on the way home. By morning she was done. Now I think the only reading she does Is on the net.

I don’t think you should give up reading. Like ever. Pick up a book now and then learn something. Emerge yourself into a world that is not your own. Use your imagination. Creativity strives on it. In fact, I think that Is what I am going to do right now. Find me something nice to read up lay in bed next to my love and forget the world around me

At least for a half hour till I have to make dinner. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy the sneak peeks into the new Krave event starting in a few weeks. I CAN'T WAIT.

All Dressed up and Nothing to do!

 

Cute dress.. Check. Glasses.. Check Heels.. Check. The jewelry to tie it all together. Oh, I am so ready.  Ready for what you might ask? Well, that is a good question. I am not really sure myself. I am all dressed up with no place to go it seems. But it is still early and there is a lot of time left today find some trouble to get into I think.

This Spit is for the Birds…

Not like the birds from the movie that gang up and kill you. However, I remember as a child watching it and walking outside the next day and seeing all the birds flying around and thinking that they are going to kill me. Oh the things we can start to believe as a child. 
Today I was working on a post and used a bird from Mystrey and thought how cute added a few hummingbirds and was instantly brought back to the time in my life. I wonder if it is only me that thinks of that movie when I see a flock of birds still to this day.

What am I wearing today……

Anything Can Happen

So Today is Easter, and tomorrow is April Fool's day. And one thing I've noticed about SL is, for some reason, anytime a holiday comes up, girls feel the need to wear the most cliche and slutty outfits they can find. I went to a club friday, and I swear every girl was wearing one of those bodysuits with a bunny tail. Not only was it slutty but most of them weren't even that pretty. Why is everyone on sl afraid to do something less obvious. When I think of Easter I think of when I was a child, and I always got to wear the prettiest dresses that were poofy and when I twirled they went out and waved. And how I was never allowed to dress up in them except on holidays for pictures because I wasn't lady-like and I would sit around with my legs wide open and stockings on, but I felt like a princess because even though I hated my teeth, cause they were a little too big for my face and I was always getting picked on for them and my last name, I felt gorgeous. 

I think about dying Easter Eggs with my mom and dad and the Easter baskets FILLED with so much candy you'd think it shouldn't be possible for someone to eat all of it in one day.The morning you'd wake up, and run out to see the Easter basket and then run and wake up your parents cause you couldn't wait to get into all that candy. Getting in trouble for eating all of the candy, the stuffed animals, and Easter egg hunts, with the little plastic eggs filled with candy, and money, and toys and little plastic rings. This is what I think about when I think of Easter.

And honestly I miss these things. I miss the innocence of childhood, when the most complicated things got was someone was bullying you or you got grounded for something little but it was the biggest deal ever to you because all you were was like 8 or 9, and the idea of not being able to go outside, or watch tv was the worst thing ever. Of course now things aren't like that. Kids just lose their cellphones and laptops, and parents can't get them to go outside for their lives.

Sometimes I just like to think about, how if everyone on sl decided to maybe try a different style than what's expected maybe there would be so many more different outfits to buy. Don't you agree?

After visiting many sims, the savior was found!

Finding props with the poses you have in mind are freaking hard! But after about 2 or 3 hours of searching marketplace and going through stores I found this prop, which wasn't exactly the prop I wanted but the poses worked better than anything else I had found. Once again I am reusing these boots because they are currently my favorite pair of shoes.

I visited a few places today. Okay I went to a lot of places. I went to The Sugar garden, Collabor88, Exposure, Zodiac, back to Collabor88, Marketplace, Pulse Skins, Exile, Collabor88, and on and on and on.  I did a lot of window shopping because when I put these boots on with these garter-ed socks, I knew exactly what I wanted to blog today. Finding it all was not easy. I'd forgotten the name of the dress I wanted and I didn't know what kind of hair I wanted to pair with it, and I was tired of my skin and I didn't want to use a regular pose, and it just took a lot to pull the look for these pics together properly. 

Thankfully, the huds for the Global Domination hunt came out today, and if they hadn't I probably would have taken even longer to find the dress, and this post would have never happened. So, I thank you staff of HCE for releasing your huds today so that I could look at the list of who gave out what gifts at the kiosks for the huds. How did this help me, you're wondering? Well my dears, under the gifts I happened to see the exact dress I was looking for. So I typed in the name of the shop and low and behold; there it was on marketplace! Just waiting for me to pick a vest color and buy it. Which I did. Snicker Snicker.

Like I said, they released the huds for Global Domination which is only 300$L if you buy it before the 14th, if you buy it on the 14th or after it'll cost 400$L. And I know what you're thinking. 400$L for a fucking hud for a hunt? You're just paying for everything. Not quite. This hunt as three grand prizes for the first 3 to finish. So it's kinda like a contest, a battle of wits, a riddle to puzzle your thinker. In other words, it's gonna be a challenge, and if you're willing to pay the price you may just be handsomely rewarded for your brilliance.

The dress comes from Cracked Mirror and comes in different colors. I chose the pink because when it's winter pink is like my favorite color. I'm not sure why during the winter I love it but when it comes summer time I'm ready for that color to die. The pillows are from Glitterati, and yeah I know I could have looked there as one of the first shops, but I don't typically like their stuff and to be honest I'd completely forgotten about that store's existence >.>. Oops.

The hair is by truth, it's at Collabor88 right now. And I kept looking around cause I wasn't sure if I wanted this kind of hair, I really thought I wanted something down and long and curly, but I thought this side ponytail worked better. I really like it outfit, I think it came together really well. Reusing things you find in your inventory helps you save money, and even helps you look more creative. When you mix and match you're less likely to come across someone wearing the same thing as you.
