Uhm wut?

So, shopping is fun, but not when sl is hating on you hardcore. I've had the worst lag in sl all week. But I find something so funny, so I'mma sort of rant here. Every time I tell someone I'm a blogger they say something to the effect of  "Oh! I've always wanted to try that, I would love to get free stuff." Or people get into it thinking they're going to get a ton of free stuff, or money, or whatever.

News flash: That doesn't happen.

And frankly I get a little pissed when people get into blogging with that kind of attitude. It's like store owners who only start making stuff because they want to make money. Or DJs that only DJ to get famous. What the hell? That's not right! As a blogger, I spend a ton of money, and I'm freaking lucky if I can get a store owner to give me something free. And the only time that I legitly ask for something for free is when I find something I absolutely need for a post that I can't afford. And even then I almost never get what I want and end up having to wait two or three days to buy it.

"If you can't afford it, then you don't really need it." A belt, a pair of shoes, a hat. Anything can make or break an outfit. People don't realize how much most bloggers put into every post they make. I usually end up spending anywhere from 1k to 3k on a single post just trying to find the right crap to make my outfits as perfect as they are in my mind. Most of it doesn't make it in the posts.  I won't even tell you how much of a disaster my inventory is. Let me just say I had 3k items before I started blogging, all nicely organized.... now I have 13k, all under all my system folders in my inventory. I really need to clean it.

I've had friends, and I've known people who start blogging because they want to get famous, or they want to make money or they want free stuff. Needless to say I didn't show them my support for their blogs. Just like I don't show support for DJs who only DJ cause they want fans. The point of blogging is to express yourself, and share your opinions and points of view. It should be fun, and you should enjoy it. Don't turn it into a job.

I love my blog, I love blogging. Sure I hate spending massive amounts of Lindens on it, but I love shopping. Everyone hates being broke. But it happens. You always have to compromise  Do you think the best store owners make the great clothes they do because they just want the money? No they do it because they like making cute stuff that I and everyone else in sl loves.

I love the stuff I buy. Like this! Ugh how I love this outfit so much. All up in my happy place cause of it. I love the tattoo. It took me over a day to find this. Like over a day of dedicated  "I need a full body tat but only the right kind of full body tat". I swear I looked at this one like 7 times before I finally said. I bought it, and loooooved it! It works so well with this outfit! :D Not to mention the back is cuteness in a little skin defacing package.

(Even though I haven't been accepted as an official blogger for there yet. T^T) I am so far behind on posts again  and I lack the motivation to write. But I have lots of motivation to shop, so I'll get the posts up for the month I promise, and I promise they will be very.... probably not too chatty, cause this was my rant. Imma end it with another "I luvs this outfit so much! :D"

So all day so far I've been at the reopening event at [FIEND]. And by all day I mean all day. I've been here since the event started around like 1am slt. Haha. And I've been dancing chatting and even doing some shopping. The stuff there isn't all that bad either. I got two pairs of jeans so far, and even won one of the raffles. Which got me a pair of sweat pants type pants... I'm as articulate as ever you can see.

This is one of the outfits I've put together while here. now the only part of this outfit that's actually from FIEND is the jeans, but the jeans come in multiple colors. Red, green, blue, purple, and orange. And I love jeans. Everyone know I can't get enough jeans xD! And this store has stuff for men and women. Mesh stuff. And I love Mesh... yeah... I'll probably be shopping here a lot. I already have multiple outfits lined up. Just have to finish figuring out how I want to put them together. 

It's been slow, with not many people yet; but I'm cool with that cause I have crappy ass luck: if you've ever played a game or sploder with me you know this. So I've actually won a few raffles cause I was the only one there. Don't take this as me complaining cause I'll take any luck I can get even if it's only cause of default. xD

The tops come from two different outfits, and the skin and glasses both come from the arcade. Since I finally finished off my list and got everything I was looking for I gave away everything else. But I kept my skates, the chair, one of my crosseyed doll heads, and a few other things that I wanted.

I was actually surprised when I played the gatcha for oh shit... what was it called... Uhm.. ID. There we go. So I had a little extra money after getting everything on my list and I played a random machine. And I thought about it and tried out the skin and was like. Well shit I like that. It's nice isn't it?

Anyways, I'll be here all day and here's the image with more details below if you want to stop by and hang with us. Dance and enjoy the music and maybe even shop or win something. After visiting many sims, the savior was found!

Finding props with the poses you have in mind are freaking hard! But after about 2 or 3 hours of searching marketplace and going through stores I found this prop, which wasn't exactly the prop I wanted but the poses worked better than anything else I had found. Once again I am reusing these boots because they are currently my favorite pair of shoes.

I visited a few places today. Okay I went to a lot of places. I went to The Sugar garden, Collabor88, Exposure, Zodiac, back to Collabor88, Marketplace, Pulse Skins, Exile, Collabor88, and on and on and on.  I did a lot of window shopping because when I put these boots on with these garter-ed socks, I knew exactly what I wanted to blog today. Finding it all was not easy. I'd forgotten the name of the dress I wanted and I didn't know what kind of hair I wanted to pair with it, and I was tired of my skin and I didn't want to use a regular pose, and it just took a lot to pull the look for these pics together properly. 

Thankfully, the huds for the Global Domination hunt came out today, and if they hadn't I probably would have taken even longer to find the dress, and this post would have never happened. So, I thank you staff of HCE for releasing your huds today so that I could look at the list of who gave out what gifts at the kiosks for the huds. How did this help me, you're wondering? Well my dears, under the gifts I happened to see the exact dress I was looking for. So I typed in the name of the shop and low and behold; there it was on marketplace! Just waiting for me to pick a vest color and buy it. Which I did. Snicker Snicker.

Like I said, they released the huds for Global Domination which is only 300$L if you buy it before the 14th, if you buy it on the 14th or after it'll cost 400$L. And I know what you're thinking. 400$L for a fucking hud for a hunt? You're just paying for everything. Not quite. This hunt as three grand prizes for the first 3 to finish. So it's kinda like a contest, a battle of wits, a riddle to puzzle your thinker. In other words, it's gonna be a challenge, and if you're willing to pay the price you may just be handsomely rewarded for your brilliance.

The dress comes from Cracked Mirror and comes in different colors. I chose the pink because when it's winter pink is like my favorite color. I'm not sure why during the winter I love it but when it comes summer time I'm ready for that color to die. The pillows are from Glitterati, and yeah I know I could have looked there as one of the first shops, but I don't typically like their stuff and to be honest I'd completely forgotten about that store's existence >.>. Oops.

The hair is by truth, it's at Collabor88 right now. And I kept looking around cause I wasn't sure if I wanted this kind of hair, I really thought I wanted something down and long and curly, but I thought this side ponytail worked better. I really like it outfit, I think it came together really well. Reusing things you find in your inventory helps you save money, and even helps you look more creative. When you mix and match you're less likely to come across someone wearing the same thing as you.

Another HCE event this month

Yesterday, I found about about another event being held this month by the Hottie Cooterati. It's called global domination and it's a hunt. I'm so excited because lately I've had waaaaay too much time on my hands and not enough money to shop with. It starts on the 7th and you do have to buy a hud to be able to do it, but there will be some awesome prizes at the end because their events never have crappy stuff in them. It's always really good quality. Read more about it at the HCE website. That link will take you directly to the page. Take a look and read about it, there's 3 special prizes for I'm guessing the first 3 to finish it.

Now here's another outfit, that's not too terribly expensive. The top is part of a full outfit on promo on marketplace right now for only 45$L It comes with shoes, and a skirt, along with garter-ed stockings, and even pasties, though the shirt doesn't expose your nipples. The shorts are mesh, are reasonably priced for mesh shorts.

So I'm more behind than I wanted to be, and I'm going to be behind a little while longer. Last night my laptop ran so slow I couldn't make it function, I did a factory reset and I'm still DLing my main programs. But I have lots of outfits for you guys! The new round of Zodiac started 3 days ago, and I was going to post this last night BUT my laptop hated me. Hence the factory reset. But here's part one of something I thought of while at Zodiac!

So these shoes. O.M.G. I saw them and instantly had to have them. I couldn't decide which one I wanted more, the brown or the black, so I got both. And my daughter wonders where she gets her shopping habit from. It's totally her father. I only buy the necessities! >.> Erm yeah... totes. Anyways! (I sure say that a lot. Same with shall. How odd is that?) Any-uh, whatever. Okay so... moving on?.... that doesn't feel as natural.... Whatever.....
Okay! Anywho, I saw the shoes I had to have them, Scorpio is my sign irl, my bday is Nov 4th. Though with the new zodiac taking place this year, I'm no longer a Scorpio. (Fuck you, astrologists!) But I grew up a Scorpio; And Scorpio I shall stay! I decided to pair the shoes with the apron from the stall right next to it, and wear panties with the apron and nothing else, (fetish fantasy much? xD) I even put on one of my older skins from Mynerva, in fact it's the first one I got from them... I'm no so fond of this skin anymore. I really do prefer my current typical skin Kianna. The panties are day of the week panties from Gawk!, only 88$L on marketplace, comes in a black set and a white set.
The heels come in two zipper versions, you'll see the next version in just a few hours ^_^ and are rigged mesh, along with the apron. The apron also comes in a black and yellow jersey type look, though I don't like football, so I didn't get that, but it would go fabulously with the black heels! The heels also come in red, but I'm not fond of the color red.
